The Tyrant are Monks that have improved their study of Tangsu and are top students at the temple of power and fire. The Tyrant is famous for using such techniques as Force Buster, which explodes energy and attacks multiple enemies whose way is blocked; Burning Fist, which throws strong fists of fire; and Punch of Doom, which causes extreme damage to an opponent while consuming a lot of physical strength.
Low HP Tactics for Different Classes. Getting to 30% or Lower HP On Demand. Pre-FrenzyMany classes in Lineage 2 have special skills that can only be activated when your HP goes low, usually at 30% or less. Some of these skills are obviously very powerful and it’s quite useful to be able to use them at will. Low HP tactic preliminariesTo do that you have to apply different strategies which usually depend on the class you’re playing. Some classes have it easy when it comes to getting their HP low as they have their own skills to do that, but others, such as the Titan, need special preparation to do so.Because this trick is mostly used for a Titan and is known as pre-Frenzy, I’ll start with showing you how to do just that before we look at other classes. Activate your 30% HP skills and equip your regular equipment.Depending on the class, the Symbols you use and the additional items you have equipped, your HP should be down to at least 33% or so, sometimes well under 30%.
As mentioned, some classes just have the extra skills to help you control the level of your HP better, as we’ll see next. Titan’s pre-FrenzyMostly used in Olympiad and for killing Raid Bosses, doing a pre-Frenzy is pretty straightforward and is achieved by following the steps I just mentioned, though there are some details.Because some of the HP bonuses are static instead of being an increase by some% of your own Max HP, having either positive or negative CON symbols can affect how low you can bring your HP. In general, having +CON dyes makes it more difficult to lower your HP and having -CON dyes makes it easier.
For example, when your regular Max HP is lower (-CON dye), any static HP bonus represents a bigger chunk/percentage in relation to your Max HP and thus has a more pronounced effect.Additionally, the Titan can benefit of its skill Over the Body learned at level 79, which increases its Max HP by quite a margin and gives you complete freedom in what CON dyes you can use. When the skill is not available however, you have to control how fast your HP regenerates and that is usually achieved by becoming overweight (Weight Penalty Lv1) on purpose. This allows you to keep a lower level of HP by having a slower HP regen while doing the pre-Frenzy sequence.Another thing to keep in mind if you’re doing this on Oly, is the automatic CP/HP/MP restoration that you get in there. Therefore practice doing the HP lowering sequence until you feel comfortable with it. The biggest factor on how quickly to achieve the whole trick is how quickly you’ll get the BTB effect from the staff.Because sometimes it just doesn’t catch on, you have to recognize when to give up and approach the match normally, alas with less HP. Make sure to put all the items you’re going to use for this tactic on your toolbar rows, including your armor sets and weapons.
Having a well ordered toolbar makes a big difference in pulling this with less effort. One last thing that some people may not be aware of – while Zealot and Guts provide their effects regardless of the Titan’s HP level, Frenzy only works fully while your HP is at 30% or below, so keep that in mind.In relation to the latter, a very good alternative combo is to use Guts and Zealot, then follow it with Battle Roar (or just a Life Force Talisman) and Braveheart. You can get very juicy stats if you do that, especially when you also have +CON dyes to maximize your CP and HP. It’s my little trick against dagger class players and they hate it a lot when it gets them by surprise. П™‚ Other classes that can benefit from lowering your HPOne class that instantly comes to mind and I’ve seen people do it with good results is the Phoenix Knight. The idea is to get your HP down and activate Angelic Icon in advance. Of course, it’s quite easy to lower your HP by using the Sacrifice skill, but when you don’t happen to have a target, this is the only way.Grand Khavatari can use this trick to activate Zealot and Bison Totem, which can be very effective when it’s not expected. As with the Titan, you can only use Noblesse Blessing on most servers to get the BTB effect, and Dark Form on some other.
The Fist Fury toggle is really helpful in decreasing your HP while you’re doing the HP lowering sequence, so always keep it on.Although Soul Takers, Storm Screamers and Ghost Hunters have their own means of decreasing their HP, partial use of the HP lowering tactic can be used to accelerate the process. Starting out with a Conversion SA weapon and casting BTB on yourself takes little time with the nuker classes in particular, so it’s quite helpful in addition to using their Body to Mind skill. ConclusionAs you can see there are some interesting combos you can achieve by lowering your HP to 30% or so. One thing that I forgot to point is that although you can lower your HP that much, it would obviously go up again if you equip a weapon without Health SA. This is important when using skills that require keeping your HP low, for instance the Titan which has to stay under 30% HP for Frenzy to work properly.I’m pretty sure there are some other uses of these combinations that I’m probably forgetting right now, so feel free to comment and add to this, sharing your own experiences with the other readers.
I'm one of the many who quit. People have different reasons for leaving. In Classic L2 (i.e. 2006 and earlier), Stuns had a high land rate.
This is why so many people played Archers. Stun for the win.Stuns worked like that back then, and many classes had multiple stuns back then.Land Rate on Root/Fear, etc. Was high up until NCSoft nerfed them and introduced more buffs in the game to curb their land rate down. They should have added Surrenders and Resists back to the game, not that it would have mattered much for balance.Mystics could always add +15 WIT to their characters, but that means they're taking Casting Speed over M.Atk (INT). Fighters could never touch INT.Dyes have always worked that way.Daggers have always worked that way.Daggers have always been countered by Tank classes in that way.-I'm going to stop there. What the OP of that thread wants, is another game. This is just the case of 'newer' players not having a clue what the game was like a decade ago.
Lineage II was always kind of terrible. Believe it or not, 'Classic' L2, was pretty much what the OP writes about in that thread, except Surrenders and Resist Buffs were still in there.Yes, Necros were OP and people complained about them until the revamp in GoD, and then started complaining about Feoh Soultaker once they did the 're-diversification.'
L2 was designed for RMT, I'm almost convinced. It's pretty much the most RMT-friendly game the MMO industry has ever seen, by a significant market. Everything form Adena to Characters to Gear Items to Leveling Services, etc. Was RMTable and taken advantage of by the player base. These types of PvP games attract the wrong types of players in Western markets. The game was never balanced. The game always had a grind that simply wasn't validated by fun factor and there were always issues with shift leveling and account sharing.
There was always issues with RMT. Why do you think the live servers on L2 died?Yea, the OP of that thread has no clue. I remember the unbalance and the perma stun. Lineage 2 was always like that.It was the replies in the thread of people saying they were leaving the game that really caught my attention. The reason I left was due to me not realizing how much time I used to have back when I played in those days, and how little i have compared to that now. I tried to level, it took me like a few days to hit 25.
I remember back in the day I was in high school and could play every day after school, and for a week straight on break. Now that kind of time just doesn't exist so it was no longer fun for me.I was addicted to the game for awhile.
The grind was insane but it was the people you met who kept you coming back for more. Good times for the most part. The forums are full of people complaining saying L2 Classic is dying and people are quitting. To the people that play I want to hear your thoughts. Is it really over already?People Are QuittingThe forum is full of people complaining about everything, but that doesn't really show the real situation (I guess that the rest that enjoy the game do not spend their time on forums). The game has it flaws, but it still is one of the best PvP MMORPGs out there. Why people quited? Most of them quited because they realized they do not have that free time anymore.
Another big part hoped that they will be able to bot there, but Inova did a good job banning most of them. There are still people active boting, but I hope they will be caught someday.Server is around 1400 active players during primetime. One week ago a well known player hosted a podcast where he invited the top clan leaders and an official staff from Inova. The podcast was held on Twitch where it was followed by 750 viewers, so there is still a lot of interest in this project. For the moment at least, when the map is not complete, there are still enough players. We have daily pvps (ranging from 1vs1 to 3vs3 parties), and sometimes we get caught in a massive pvps (around 60 vs 60). Could be better, but those who are still playing are having a good time.
Played L2 at NA launch and Korean version before that. I ended up quitting mostly because of the insane grind plus xp loss and mainly because a lot of better games came out. Aion, Eve, etc.Ye, Classic is pretty brutal in this regard. At level 42, I needed like 5k monsters for level up. Sometimes a PK shows up to put you back several hours of intense grind. On the other hand, it is relatively simple to make money and to get decent gear on Classic.
I played the game quite casually and I was able to get a top C staff and a robe set at level 40.I don't know if they changed that or not. I remember back in the day when L2 launched, that it was super hard to get money.
But that also could have been because I was young and it was one of my first MMORPG's. I did notice on the Innova classic server that I was making quite a bit of money.
